A leading North American financial institution is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager to lead Fixed Income technology delivery. This role combines strong domain expertise, delivery leadership, and team management, with a focus on ensuring stable, high-quality production environments and successful vendor partnerships.
The successful candidate will bring deep Fixed Income knowledge, hands-on delivery experience, and strong communication skills to lead a small, high-performing team and manage key third-party platforms.
This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, and the successful candidate will be paid via a T4 contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Fixed Income technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities
- Manage a team of 2–3 delivery professionals, providing leadership, coaching, and performance management
- Oversee production stability and ensure effective incident management and resolution
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication across business and technology teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders including trading desks, operations, and senior leadership
- Manage and oversee vendor relationships, including performance, issue resolution, and service delivery (particularly Broadridge)
- Drive planning, execution, and reporting across multiple initiatives and workstreams
- Identify, track, and mitigate delivery risks, dependencies, and issues
- Ensure adherence to governance, regulatory requirements, and enterprise standards
- Promote continuous improvement in delivery practices and operational processes
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Fixed Income technology delivery or operations
- Strong knowledge of Fixed Income products and trade lifecycle processes
- Hands-on experience with Broadridge Impact / ICI platform
- Proven experience managing small teams (2–3 people) with direct people leadership responsibilities
- Strong production support knowledge, including incident management and system stability
- Demonstrated experience managing third-party vendors and service providers
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across technical and business stakeholders
- Strong delivery background across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within large capital markets organisations
- Familiarity with front-to-back Fixed Income processing
- Understanding of regulatory and risk frameworks in financial services
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, SAFe)
