Information Governance Coordinator

We are now working with a leader within the Educational Sector who are looking to onboard an Information Governance Coordinator to join their growing Compliance Team.

You will be managing administrative tasks in accordance with the governance processes, over-seeing record-keeping, coordinating data protection activities & general support to the Compliance Team.
You will report directly to the Head of Compliance – this is an amazing opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals in a very productive, encouraging and knowledgeable environment within the Educational Industry – where better to learn?

Responsibilities – Information Governance Coordinator:

• Join a mission-driven team focused on ensuring young people’s data is processed responsibly.
• Maintain accurate accountability and governance records in relation to privacy assessments, audit work and policy changes
• Maintain the annual Compliance Calendar
• Co-ordinate audit, training, assessments and other activities within the team and across CEC
• Process incoming enquiries and ensure they are responded to within an appropriate time, responding to enquiries appropriately as your skills and knowledge develop
• Contribute to regular compliance reporting

Requirements – Information Governance Coordinator:

• Work experience in data compliance or information governance
• Understanding of DPIAs, DSARs, ISO27001 and other industry knowhow
• Practical experience using the MS Office stack including Teams, Excel and SharePoint
• Strong willingness to learn, ability to pick things up quickly and a genuine interest for Information Security
• Delivery focused - demonstrate effective prioritisation of work in a busy environment, committed, trusted, punctual, organised, with attention to detail

Desirable – Information Governance Coordinator:

• Data protection or information governance qualification (professional or academic)
• Foundational understanding of UK privacy law
