Description

Marcus Donald and I are currently looking for a new Cyber Risk Engineer to join our client in the Management consultancy organization.

The successful candidate in this role will have a number of years’ experience in carrying out technical security risk assessments, have a seasoned understanding of how to assess third-party suppliers of cloud/SaaS-based technology platforms and will be a subject matter expert in the Microsoft Defender suite.

*Hybrid – 3 days a week in the office (Central London) *

Cyber Risk Engineer – Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with GRC vendor performance assessments and technical security risk reviews.
  • Helping with the technical design of security systems and services to meet organizational needs.
  • Provide a technical point of view on the Risk Assessments done by the GRC team.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day administration of numerous security platforms.
  • Assess third-party suppliers of cloud/SaaS-based technology platforms, particularly in MFA and SSO.

Cyber Risk Engineer – Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Security Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Technical Third-Party Risk Assessments.
  • Be a Microsoft Defender SME across the whole Defender Suite (Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, Defender for O365, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Identity etc).
  • Email Security (Mimecast Email security gateways, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, DMARC/DKIM/SPF).
  • Have strong technical knowledge across Email Security, Endpoint Security, Network Security, Cloud Security and Infrastructure Security.
  • Very good knowledge of Network and Endpoint Security.
  • Risk management experience

Cyber Risk Engineer – Personal:

  • Communicate effectively with the business.
  • Have a deep and evolving level of technical expertise.
  • Well experienced in working with external vendors and third parties.
  • Have great teamwork skills.
  • Have the ability to complete assigned tasks within set deadlines.
  • Develop a variety of runbooks and training materials to ensure skill transfer.
  • The want and desire to progress and get answers (not afraid to chase clients).
