Application Security Engineer

Marcus Donald are currently looking for an Application Security Engineer on a rolling 6 month contract. The App Security Engineer will be working with an Investment Bank to test the security posture and identify critical vulnerabilities and precisely document findings. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in a similar role to work with a global team of developers/analysts in an exciting role.

Location: London (Hybrid)
Type: 6 month rolling

Responsibilities – Application Security Engineer:

• Refining threat modelling process
• Working with developers and the DevOps team to make the CI/CD pipeline secure
• Conduct security assessments to ensure compliance to firm's security standards
• document daily vulnerability assessments, exploitations, and recommendations to stakeholders and executive management
• Working with JIRA tool using for bug tracking, issue tracking, and project management functions.

Requirements – Application Security Engineer:

• 3+ years experience in an application security role or similar
• 1+ years professional experience within the financial services
• Strong knowledge with security frameworks (OWASP, NIST)
• Ability to document and present findings effectively to key stakeholders
• Working knowledge on Cloud Platforms (ideally Azure)
