Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Marcus Donald are now currently in the market for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our clients expanding Infrastructure team.
 
** Hybrid working 2 days a week in a West London Offices **
 
Your overall responsibility will be to continually develop and improve the company’s infrastructure and systems by focusing on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation! You will also have the opportunity to be completely hands on with both AWS and Azure Cloud as you will be implementing a migration to a cloud strategy!
 
Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Main Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for provisioning and managing the various infrastructure components that comprise the company production environments.
• Ensure security is "front of mind" in all aspects of the design, delivery and management of the infrastructure and systems.
• Ensuring the continual availability of all infrastructure and systems
• Managing maintenance windows for updatesinfrastructure work with the businessclients and vendors.
• Monitoring/Reporting/Trending
• Managing all network addresses is a vital part of the role and requires detailed management, processes, and documentation.

Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Technical Skills Required:

• Extensive experience of Infrastructure as a code (IaC) & Automation
• Microsoft 365 administration experience
• 5 years’ experience of troubleshooting and managing virtualisation (e.g VMWare)
• A solid understanding of networking concepts (e.g Routing, NAT)
• Good understanding or working experience of various internet/Hosting/Network based technologies and disciplines
• Good theoretical IT knowledge

Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Advantageous:

• BSc in a Computing subject
• Experience with vulnerability analysis and remediation
• Any of the following: DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible and SolarWinds
