Head of Security Operations

We at Marcus Donald currently have an excellent opening for an experienced, competent, and ambitious Head of Security Operations for a role in an ever-growing company within the MSP space. Our client is a well-established business on a world-wide scale, and this is an amazing opportunity for the right person to become a real asset and make their mark. The high-performing, success driven individual will lead the Security Operations Team to ensure the company’s Security Operations Centre maintains efficiency in all areas.

Type: Permanent
Salary: 100,000 - £110,000 per annum
Location: Hybrid  

Head of Security Operations – Responsibility:

• To supervise the SOC team, provide technical guidance and manage financial activities.
• To implement industry best practice within the organisation
• Provide leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to deliver a professional service
• Responsible for regular liaison and engagement with company management teams
• Responsible for managing the creation and execution of playbooks, response plans, testing, incident alerting and response plans
• Ensure incident identification, assessment, quantification, reporting, communication, mitigation and monitoring

Head of Security Operations – Essential Requirements:

• You will be able to develop information security plans, strategy, and policy to support and align with organisational information security missions and initiatives
• Generate contingency plans for realistic and damaging scenarios
• Ensure incident identification, assessment, quantification, reporting, communication, mitigation, and monitoring
• Ability to read and understand system data, including, but not limited to, security event logs, system logs, and firewall logs.
• Expansive understanding and experience in network security devices, firewalls, and IPS/IDS
