Software Development Lead

Marcus Donald are currently looking for a Software Development Lead for a large and well known organisation in London. You will be joining an organisation that has seen fantastic growth and you will play a key part in what the future looks like.
You will be heading up a team of Tech Leads, software developers and Delivery (Scrum) with close alignment to the CTO & CIO in delivering an environment capable of exceeding expectations/needs.

* £80,000 - £84,000 per annum + bonus and benefits *
** Hybrid working role – homebased and London **

You will ultimately be tasked with driving the Software Development Life Cycle management (SDLC) & partner with both business and technology groups to ensure that their core applications align with the organisation’s strategy, mission and vision.

Software Development Lead - Role & Responsibilities:

• Have strong software development/applications knowledge
• Have in-depth knowledge of industry best practices and established and emerging technologies
• Experience of developing teams to deliver high quality digital products / solutions that conform to agreed architecture principles, delivering business value within expected and agreed timeframes
• Specialist in software delivery, with experience and knowledge of delivering large platforms through multidisciplined teams
• Knowledge and experience delivering complex, high-budget technology initiatives in Agile, Waterfall across both web and back-end systems.
• Track record of leading teams and demonstrable leadership qualities, such as delegation and coaching for appropriate outcomes
• Provide the business with technical leadership and contribute to internal roadmaps.
• Overseeing all aspects of Software Development, including technical strategy & technology stacks
