Senior Test Engineer

Marcus Donald are currently looking for a Senior Test Engineer for an Investment Bank, therefore we are ideally looking for an experienced QA Testing professional (contractor) with Capital Markets, Equity, Fixed Income experience on an initial 6 month contract with a view to extend (6 month rolling).

** Fully Remote / Home Based **
** Inside IR35 **

You will be working closely with Corporate Actions and liaising with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, Design Architects and Testers to clarify system requirements & business processes and incorporating them into the testing process.

Senior Test Engineer – Responsibilities:

• Work very closely with Developers & drive the importance of Quality throughout the entire SDLC
• Manual Testing, User Acceptance Testing & Automation
• Identify and define required functional and non-functional tests
• Plan scope of testing, Release/Sprint planning, resource planning, strategise and plan E2E testing
• Utilise and strengthen both Manual & Automated test experience
• Strong experienced with Jira / Azure DevOps in setting up Test Management Tools related to requirements traceability, test plans, test labs, defect management and reporting.

Senior Test Engineer – Requirements:

• Strong experience with manual / automated testing environments
• Ability to plan and strategise testing of complex systems
• Broad knowledge of Financial Markets, Systems and or Equities trading (front to back-office systems)
• Understanding of EU regulatory environment: EMIR, MiFIR, BASEL-based capital / liquidity systems
• Good working knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Senior Test Engineer – Ideal Certifications:

• ISEB / ISTQB Professional
• Certified Agile Tester (CAT)

Senior Test Engineer – Desirable:

• Experience with XSP – XSPrisa
• Familiarity with SQL, .Net and C#, Angular
• Corporate action experience and the knowledge of automating and streamlining the corporate actions process and mitigating risk would be perfect
