Senior QA Engineer

Marcus Donald are currently looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join a market leading high growth Insurance company in London. It is a great role for an experienced QA who has cross functional testing and programming experience.
 
**Hybrid Working - 2 days per week in London office**

You will be joining a close knit, autonomous software delivery team to enhance both their existing products and work on a brand new upcoming greenfield project! You will need to have a reasonable understanding of coding, software design and development.
 
Senior QA Engineer – Technical Skills:

• 3 to 5 + years’ experience as a QA
• A good understanding of RESTful web services, and experience of automating API testing with either Postman or .NET.
• Experience of designing a functional test plan using principles like the test automation pyramid and the agile test matrix.
• Experience of creating and maintaining functional test automation using Specflow, C# and Selenium WebDriver.
• An understanding of good software development principles like SOLID and the four rules of simple design.
• A good understanding of agile software development practices like refactoring, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
• A good understanding of BDD.
• Experience in cross-functional testing
• An understanding of TDD

Senior QA Engineer – Desirable

• Knowledge of insurance terminology, operations, and products.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, and MongoDB in particular.
• Experience with Azure and Infrastructure-as-Code using ARM templates
• ISTQB/ ISEB test certification.
