Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Marcus Donald are currently looking for an Senior Infrastructure Engineer that fits the below criteria:

1. Has previously had the opportunity to work with either Security & Cloud technologies and wants to progress their career in this direction.
2. Would love the opportunity to expand into the world of Security & Cloud with a supportive team and company behind them.

This opportunity sits with a very popular and well-known Financial Services company in London & to complement a very competitive salary & funding to secure AWS certs ect, you will also have the freedom to work 3 days from home (2 days in the office, in London).

• Part of the Security Engineering Team
• Scope of the role: Technical Security SME, Security Platform Engineering, Cloud Security

Senior Infrastructure Engineer: Candidates will demonstrate the following qualities:

• A builder mindset
• Self-motivated approach to continuing the development of their own skills and knowledge
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to collaborate effectively across teams within a complex, rapid-moving environment
• Proficient with MS Office for general collaboration, communication, and reporting

Senior Infrastructure Engineer: Essential technical skills and attributes:

• A strong understanding of technical SysAd, Network & Infrastructure concepts
• Windows and/or Linux operating systems and system administration
• Understanding of networking (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP)
• Data centres & virtualisation
• Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD
• Command line interfaces and scripting

Desirable technical skills and attributes:

• AWS, Azure or GCP
• Cloud delivery models and modern cloud security approaches
• Knowledge of Linux RedHat and CentOS
• Linux administration and deployment
• Competency with scripting is required, especially Python and PowerShell

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 per annum
