Applications Support Consultant 

Marcus Donald are currently looking for an Applications Support Consultant to join a leading education provider based in the City of London. 

You will be responsible for delivering and supporting the portfolio of applications for internal and external usersAs well as build and deployment of new applications and this will include some configuration and end to end testing of new applications. 

Key Skills required for Applications Support Consultant: 

  • Experience across multiple Technologies 
  • Experience in a range of SAP platforms from SAP ECC to CRM 
  • Working in SAP CRM and ECC
  • Working across a mix of complex parallel developments
  • Working across a mix of technology platforms and environments
  • Ownership of complex parallel production incidents through to resolution
  • Working across a mix of technology platforms and environments 
  • Understanding of ITIL and of current IT development methodologies
  • Strong industry knowledge of SAP processes & best practices
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate and provide clear, concise guidance on functionality, risks, issues and benefits with a confident and professional manner and be able to play back the solution to stakeholders.
  • An ability to work both independently and as part of a team within tight and challenging time-frames


Responsibilities required for Application Support Consultant:  

  • Maintain and review applications to ensure that they proactively managed and TIME categorised 
  • Contribute to the reduction in the number of applications within the estate 
  • Document and resolve incidents within the agreed SLA 
  • Standards, processes and procedures are adhered to at all times 
  • Proactive review of process and procedures 
  • Continuous improvements and enhancements to existing processes
  • Products and projects delivered on time and within budget 
  • Constructive feed back from all touch points 
  • Achievement of agreed customer satisfaction targets  
  • All SLA timeframes and targets managed
  • Core system processes are monitored, and interruptions are visible in dashboard reports with issues promptly escalated

The selection build and deployment of new applications. This will include some configuration and end to end testing of new applications

  • Clearly defined business requirements 
  • Application testing cycles successfully completed and fully documented
  • Updates and new application deployments are introduced without disruption to the business
  • All risk have been documented and communicated
  • To contribute to training plans and delivery to agreed customer satisfaction levels
