Information Security Analyst

Marcus Donald are now searching for an Information Security Analyst to join a client in the City of London.

In this role you will be working within a sizeable IT team and helping them ensure that they are using the appropriate tools, policies, procedures and controls to keep the business’ data secure and in line with ISO 27001 & Cyber Essentials as well as regulatory legislations.

Please take note that working within a professional services company can be massively advantageous for this role.

• InfoSecurity Major Incidents (ServiceNow)
• Preparing documentation and guidance for others
• CISSP/CISM Certified (Advantageous)

Key Responsibilities as an Information Security Analyst

• Designing, implementing and optimising Information Security solutions (DLP, Ransomware, Threat protection, Office 365, Cloud, SIEM)
• Assist with the management and chairing of the governance group including the documentation of risks and completion of actions
• Developing, maintaining and delivering the Information Security Strategy ensuring that it meets current and future business requirements
• Defining and managing the Information Security detection and response operation
• Ensure appropriate measures are taken to secure information and minimise security incidents
• Conducting post-incident investigations and ensuring all known risks with mitigating actions are captured with owners plus all process improvements
• Act as an Information Security Expert and become actively involved in companywide projects and
• liaise with third party suppliers to ensure that Information Security policies are adhered to
• Internal & external auditing
• Maintain the Information Security Incident Management process and develop the appropriate document repositories, policy documents, operational procedures and knowledge articles
• Maintain user awareness and actively promote the information security policy
