Description
Market Data Systems Engineer
Marcus Donald are currently recruiting for a Market Data Systems Engineer to join an Investment client based in central London. As a Market Data Systems Engineer you will be responsible for Design, Installation, Configuration, Administration, Maintenance and Support of Market Data Distribution System and migration of the real-time price feeds to the new system.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, installation and configuration of external TREP to collect and redistribute all existing price feeds
- Design, installation and configuration of internal TREP to distribute internal prices and real time information
- DACS configuration, administration and permissions reporting
- Deployment of ITRS Geneos monitoring system and collection of critical metrics
- Resiliency and load testing of the price distribution bus
- Develop on-boarding plan to migrate systems to the new market data bus
- Work with development teams to facilitate migration to the new messaging technology
- Implement weekly and monthly reporting of critical metrics
- Periodic review of latency and load on price feed aggregation and distribution layers
- Participation in TREP production support rota, active role in investigating and resolving incidents
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Extensive experience and advanced knowledge of TREP technology, architecture and configuration
- DACS configuration and administration
- Sufficient knowledge of RHEL setup and tuning for TREP
- Self motivation, ability to assume responsibility and take active role.
- Good working knowledge of Network infrastructure
- Experience in producing key MDS metrics
- Good working knowledge of source control systems and automated deployment design
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to any programming languages and / or scripting for Linux environment
- Experience in Financial sector
- Experience with regulated companies
