Marcus Donald are currently looking for a new Senior Data Engineer to join our client in the Education Industry…

Becoming their new Data Engineer, you will be assisting with the Data Architecture across the whole organisation and work with Architects to establish data architectural standards and practices. You will play an important role, in assisting with the design and implementation of data and information systems. This an amazing opportunity for the right individual!

* 1-2 days a week in the office (Monday & Tuesdays) *

Senior Data Engineer – Experience:

• Strong Technical understanding.
• Hands-on Data Engineering Experience
• Experience of data governance and data lifecycles
• Experience with data management, database management systems, data services (including APIs), and enterprise data platform technologies
• Proven experience with ETL technologies
• Experience with master data management software and technologies
• Experience working with / implanting Data Warehouses

Senior Data Engineer – Technology:

• Relational and object database systems - SQL Server, MySQL
• Big data technologies – DataBricks
• Data analytics/visualization technologies – Power BI, Python
• Data standards and regulations – PCI DSS, GDPR, DPA

Senior Data Engineer – Responsibilities:

• Provide advice and guidance for the development and operation of new and existing data and business solutions
• Ensure compliance with data protection principles
• Develop data models
• Design and implement MDM patterns and practices
• Understand, define and assist with data flow and mapping
• Ensure master data policies and standards are defined agreed and maintained
• Design and maintain all documentation and metadata for managed datasets
• Develop and set roadmaps and vision statements aligned with business strategies
• Identify and exploit business opportunities with a focus on outcomes
