Senior Google Cloud GCP Engineer

Marcus Donald are currently working with a huge Consultancy, looking for a Senior GCP Engineer. You will work with a team of Engineers and Operations personnel to build highly resilient, scalable, and performant GCP infrastructure in an automated and efficient manner for our clients.
 
** Hybrid Working – 2 days a week in a Victoria-based office **
** Up to £70,000 per annum **
 
Senior Google Cloud (GCP) Engineer – Main Responsibilities:

• Building and managing our customer’s GCP environments and projects to enable application deployments
• Integrate, configure, deploy, and manage centrally provided common cloud services (e.g., IAM, networking, logging, Operating systems, Containers.)
• Manage software-defined network in GCP
• Ensure compliance with Security and Operational risk standards
• Build and support continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), and continuous testing activities
• Troubleshooting and support application support and development teams

Senior Google Cloud (GCP) Engineer – Required:

• Experience of building a range of services in a cloud service provider, preferably GCP
• Extensive understanding of DevOps principles
• Expert understanding of Infrastructure-as-a-Code (Iac) concepts and techniques
• Highly skilled in Kubernetes
• Good understanding of CI/CD
• Server Administration (either Linux or Windows)
• Automation scripting (using languages such as Terraform, Ansible etc)
• Degree in Computer, Science, or technology related degree

Senior Google Cloud (GCP) Engineer – Desirable

• Ideally programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, Groovy or Scala
• Linux Certification
• GCP Certifications
