Description
Marcus Donald are currently in the Market for an Information Governance Officer to join a well-known London based NFP organisation.
**Office based in central London**
**Inside IR35 – 6 month - Scope for contract to be extended**
The Information Governance Officer role will require you to act as the main point of contact for requests for information including Subject Access Requests, Freedom of Information requests and as well as requests from statutory bodies and other third parties.
Information Governance officer Responsibilities:
- Respond to SARs (Subject Access Requests)
- Contribute to IG change assessments DPIA’s (Data Protection Impact Assessments)
- Maintain and update companies ROPA (records of processing activities)
- Support the ongoing review and improvement of policies in relation to data protection.
- Respond to data breach incidents
Information Governance Officer Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of GDPR, Data Protection Act
- Strong overall technical background as opposed to legal.
- Practical experience dealing with DPIA’s and SAR’s
- 3 years’ experience in an Information Governance / Data protection role.
