Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Marcus Donald People are currently looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join an Investment Bank on a permanent basis. A working knowledge of supporting, monitoring, and maintaining a Citrix infrastructure with Virtual Desktops is required.
 
* £70,000 - £80,000 per annum + Benefits & Bonus *
** Hybrid working – London (close to Liverpool Street) **

Although experience within the financial sector would be ideal, it is not required. They have a fantastic working environment and are offering a brilliant starting salary + bonus. More importantly they are looking for someone who is driven, eager and has a real passion for what they’re doing!

Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Responsibilities:

• Working knowledge of supporting, monitoring, and maintaining a Citrix infrastructure with Virtual Desktops
• Knowledge of hyperconverged infrastructures such as Nutanix or SimpliVity
• Working knowledge of VMWare. This includes patching, building, and troubleshooting issues
• Working knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server OS’s
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Technologies including M365 services and applications, Windows Server, Active Directory and ideally Exchange and/or SQL Server.
• All-around knowledge of all Microsoft domain services (AD, DNS, DFS)
• ITIL certification and experience of working within the framework would certainly be preferred.
• Ability to work well under pressure, self-motivated, and eager to implement changes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and educate others.
• Desired: Experience with Automation and scripting languages like PowerShell and Python
• Certifications such as CCA, CCEE, MCSE & ITIL would be fantastic but not 100% required.
