Head of Information Security

Marcus Donald are currently working with a large, well known Insurance Firm, based in London, looking for a Head of Information Security on a 6 month contract (with the view to extend).
 
** Hybrid working: Two Days a Week in Canary Wharf Office **
** Competitive Day Rate, £850 - £950, Outside IR35 **
 
You will play a critical role in the digital modernisation by establishing and maintaining an information security management programme. As we bring more people using the power of digital, you’ll balance inclusive access and availability information with assurances of integrity, traceability, and confidentiality.
 
Head of Information Security – Key Responsibilities:

• Determine the information security approach and operating model in consultation with stakeholders
• Create an information security culture and oversee awareness training for all employees, contractors, and approved system users
• Establish a clear investigation process into information security breaches
• Develop up-to-date information security policies, standards, and guidelines

Head of Information Security – Required:

• Proven experience in the design, implementation, and operation of an effective, evidence-based, information security framework within a highly complex organisation
• In-depth understanding of legislation and regulations that impact information security such as the Data Protection Act and the Freedom of Information Act
• Expertise in best practice within information security and risk management, including standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST (including 800-53), Cyber Essentials and CObIT
• Highly effective leadership and stakeholder management skills

Head of Information Security – Desired:

• A relevant accredited qualification such as CISM. CISSP, CISA or MSc Information Security
