Description
I am currently working with a multinational investment bank who are looking to expand their current support team and as a result, are now looking to onboard a Desktop Engineer with the primary responsibility of providing Microsoft, AV & meeting room support.
* 5 days per week in their London (City) offices *
Contract Length: 6 months (extensions possible)
Day rate: £200 - £250 per day (Inside IR35)
Your main focus will be to provide AV support and resolution of relative issues with their 3rd party vendor. The remainder of the time will be spent on supporting the wider Desktop support team.
Desktop Engineer - Responsibility:
- Deliver an excellent experience to users of the firm's AV and video conferencing technologies. This includes meeting room technologies including hardware (screens, audio, Polycom and Yealink components) and software (Teams, Zoom, WebEx, and others)
- Provide assistance / training to users and enhance the knowledge of global Video Conferencing Advocates to ensure the smooth operation of AV technologies, including both room-based and PC-based meetings
- Deliver preventative maintenance and develop and complete regular checklists to ensure the operation of the meeting and conference platforms
- Investigate and propose upgrades and improvements to enhance the user experience, quality, or capabilities
- Case Management: Ensuring Incidents and Requests are managed following the ITIL framework
- To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles
- Strong interpersonal skills including networking, collaboration, communication, time management, being able to adapt to different audiences, environments, and cultures
Desktop Engineer – Requirement:
- 1+ years experience with exposure to AV support.
- A minimum of 2+ years of IT experience in a professional services environment performing Desktop support
- Understanding of network fundamentals, sufficient to diagnose and assess infrastructure-related issues
- Competent ServiceNow usage & experience
- MS Office 365 troubleshooting skills (advanced level)
Desktop Engineer – Desirable:
- AV Industry certifications (CTS-D etc)
- ITIL 3 Knowledge and application
- Citrix client troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of SCCM deployment
