Senior Software engineer

Marcus Donald is currently looking for a Senior Front End Engineer with either strong Angular or React experience to join a market-leading digital brokerage. It is a hugely exciting time to join the business who are now keen to add multiple experienced Senior front end engineers to their growing team.

* Initial 6-month contract (rolling) - Inside IR35 - £550 per day*
** Hybrid Working - 1 day per week in London office **

We are looking to hire a talented Senior Front-End Engineer to help deliver our clients most critical initiatives, helping to both modernise their trading UIs using Vue and enhance their investing UI using Angular.

Senior Front End Engineer- Responsibilities:

• Build or adapt current JavaScript / Typescript libraries for high performance, real-time browser connectivity, data parsing, error handling, context passing and more.
• Spend most of your time hands-on coding.
• Be a co-owner of the code base, suggesting and implementing ways to improve it.
• Work well with a team of intelligent, intense, and fast-moving co-workers.

Senior Front End Engineer- Technical:

• A good understanding of the fundamentals and a record of working smarter not just harder.
• At least 5 years of commercial software development experience, ideally with an emphasis on single-page web app development.
• Hands-on experience with at least one JavaScript framework - Vue / Angular / React.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HTML and CSS.

Senior Front End Engineer- Desired:

• Hold your own in a detailed technical discussion with a top programmer and in a user centred design discussion with product experts.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, or related area
