Senior Data Protection Specialist

Marcus Donald is looking for an Enthusiastic Senior Data Protection Specialist to join one of our key clients based in the Financial Sector’s Data Protection and Privacy team.

In this role, you will work alongside the Data Protection Officer and their team and support their efforts to achieve and maintain compliance with EU, UK and global data protection laws.

You will be instrumental in helping to implement a global data privacy programme and nurturing a culture of privacy by design across the business.

**Role is Based In Central London – Hybrid 2 days a week in the office**

**Inside IR35 – 6 month - Scope for contract to be extended**

Senior Data Protection Specialist – Responsibilities:

• Investigate and remediate suspected Data Breaches.
• Review policies and processes and propose improvements where necessary.
• Conduct DPIAs (Data Protection Impact Assessment) and vendor assessments.
• Manage DSARs (Data Subject Access Requests) with assistance from the team.
• Advise on ad-hoc data protection queries from around the organisation.

Senior Data Protection Specialist – Requirements:

• Minimum 3 Years’ experience within Data Protection.
• Excellent knowledge within Data Protection laws and regulations (GDPR and DPA).
• Previous experience writing policies and procedures within a previous company.
• A degree or relevant qualifications within Data Protection (CIPP/E CIPM Preferred but not mandatory).
• Be eligible to work within the UK
