Description

My client is a charity that is working inside Central London and they are currently working in the office as much as they can. However, for this role, they are allowing for the opportunity to work from home up to 60% of the time. My client is looking to expand, and they need someone to be the Head of the Cyber Security team and ensure that everything is running smoothly, and everyone is working efficiently.

In this role, you will oversee teams and manage projects ensuring they are working out to the best ability and getting them done efficiently. Also, with the freedom of working in your own environment from the pleasures of your own home.

Technical skills – Head of Cyber Security

  • Experience with modern PaaS/SaaS-based IAM and SSO providers and protocols preferred (ex: AzureAD, Okta, Duo, SAML, etc.)
  • Excellent experience with cybersecurity frameworks, such as SANS/NIST, ISO 27000, CIS.
  • Manage the 3rd Party SOC provider into operations and ensure security incident management becomes part of the operational response and is run 24/7.
  • Manage the relationship with external and internal auditors and own the IT Risk register.
  • Team management and managing the operations of the IT security & project team from people development to appraisals.

Essential Skills - Head of Cyber Security

  • Accountable for effective response to security incidents.
  • A strategic thinker with a strong hands-on approach, capable of designing, building, and operating security programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to drive change to business practices by working effectively with all levels of stakeholders in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience of analyzing capacity and demand, recommending change when required.

Desired Skills - Head of Cyber Security

  • Strong IT skills and knowledge including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Ability to seek out vulnerabilities in IT infrastructures.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of IT systems.
  • Should have Security Programs certification like CISM, CISA, CEH
