Description
Marcus Donald are currently looking to source a BI Developer to join a popular NFP organisation. This is a home-based role with very little travel involved. The technology team is spread out throughout the UK and remote working has been in place for over 3 years now.
As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will be tasked with delivering on a business intelligence deployment plan which will enable the organisation to track and manage information, resulting in deeper insight contributing to operational delivery performance improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for a BI Developer to join a solid Business Intelligence / Management Information team. Currently there are 5 within this team, including management however, there is further growth expected here within the next 24 months. This is due to Senior Management within the business considering Data, BI and MI as a business critical function internally to determine future success.
This is a home based position.
BI Developer - Technical Skillsets Required:
- Work with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements, develop, and implement value adding MI/BI solutions.
- Develop dashboards and paginated reports using PowerBI and SSRS to provide clarity for senior management and to help inform business decisions.
- Maintain and enhance data warehouses using bespoke T-SQL stored procedures to improve data quality and utility.
- Technical BI stack used; SSIS, SSRS, PowerBI
- Excel knowledge (Pivot Tables, vLookup, Index, Match) and SQL
BI Developer - Responsibilities Required:
- Prepare outline reports to help the business to monitor its performance against strategic objectives, which may be in the form of visualizations such as business driver diagrams, graphs, charts and dashboards, detailing the significant results they deduced.
- Conducting full lifecycle activities to include requirements analysis and design, to develop analysis and reporting capabilities, continuously monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
- Fostering trust between the team and business users to deliver insight, build understanding and cooperation to facilitate implementation and the ongoing evolution of BI tools
- Analyse metrics and prepare high level analysis to be used to guide decision making.
- Conduct analysis to evaluate the success and the effectiveness of key programmes and initiatives Guard and protect the organisation's data, making sure that the data repositories produce consistent, reusable data.
- Produce and distribute performance forecasting information across operations.
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and outcome of operational delivery across all contracts through dialogue.
- Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
- Adhere to the Data Governance Policy and internal and external compliance standards and regulations
- Identify issues, seek relevant data, recognise important information and have the ability to diagnose possible causes
