Marcus Donald are currently looking to identify an experienced Business Analyst to join a popular NFP Organisation. This is a 12 month’s Fixed Term Contract with the responsibility of supporting the business in implementing a new (consolidated) SAAS HR and Finance system.

At least 1-2 days per week in the Watford office is required. 3-4 days working from home is acceptable

The role of the successful BA will be to work with stakeholders from across the organization and related third parties to define and document business change needs, capturing, analyzing and documenting requirements for technology initiatives and supporting the communication and delivery of requirements back to stakeholders. 

You will support the creation of documentation of the "to-be" business processes and identify how this process can be effectively enabled throughout the implementation of the new HR / Finance system. You will be required to have in-depth knowledge of the business processes and the technologies surrounding ERP solutions and responsibility for developing new business models and identifying necessary process changes to streamline critical workstreams and drive efficiency.

*The new system / implementation partner hasn't been identified yet so you will also be heavily involved with the tendering and choice of implementation partner*

Business Analyst – Requirements:

  • Developing and implementing the new HR & Finance solutions
  • Work closely with implementers, technical staff and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility, adequate testing, support training, user training and user satisfaction
  • Monitor deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Evaluate business processes, identifying areas for improvement and developing and implementing solutions in line with the organisational business plan. To document these requirements in a clear and concise manner and manage review and sign-off process with key stakeholders including advising on options, risks and issues.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, performing requirements analysis so that solutions identified meet business needs that lead to improvements in the quality or efficacy.

  • Document the outcomes of reviews undertaken to write an informed business cases and to seek support from key stakeholders to support the business case.
  • Work in agile delivery teams to deliver user-centred services through rapid iteration and testing
  • Communicate effectively and persuasively with stakeholders at all levels and within all areas across the organisation throughout the business analysis process

Business Analyst – Qualifications & Training:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or related field or an MBA
  • A business analysis qualification (desirable)

Business Analyst – Experience, Skills & Knowledge:

  • Experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • Experience of influencing stakeholders and working closely with them to determine acceptable solutions demonstrating effective communication skills
  • Experience of creating detailed reports and giving presentations
  • Experience of testing solutions, scenarios and delivery
  • Experience of managing a project through to successful delivery and lessons learnt
  • Experience of training users in the use of new systems, processes and training in Agile, Prince2 or MSP.
  • Awareness and application of data protection and GDPR in relation to the use of technology for information storage
