Marcus Donald is working with a big competitor in the financial industry and are actively looking for a highly experienced and qualified SOC Analyst to join their growing team. This SOC Analyst role will be an essential member of the Security Operation Centre providing 24/7 monitoring of SIEM systems, managed firewall and IPS services.
Technical Understandings - SOC Analyst
- SIEM - Splunk
- Understanding/ differentiation of intrusion attempts and false alarms
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
- CompTIA +
- TCP/IP
- Knowledge in sysadmin skills including Linux / Windows / Mac
- Understanding of programming language including Python, Ruby, PHP, C, C#, and Java
Essential requirements -Â SOC Analyst
- Generate contingency plans for realistic and damaging scenarios
- Experience in cyber threat detection and prevention
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches and firewalls
- Ability to read and understand system data, including, security event logs, system logs, and firewall logs.
