Description
Marcus Donald are currently looking to source a Business Project Delivery Manager to join a popular NFP organisation. This is a home-based role with some UK travel involved. The technology team is spread out throughout the UK and remote working has been in place for over 3 years now.
The Business Delivery Manager reports to Head of Delivery Services and has the overall, end-to-end responsibility of the delivery of a project or activity. This includes the shaping of the approach to achieve the desired outcomes, through to delivery and finally transitioning into the Service Desk Operations.
As a Business Project Delivery Manager, requirements;
- Relevant service and project management certifications, e.g. ITIL Foundation, Prince2 or APMP, Agile
- A high degree of political sensitivity, astuteness, and the ability to use the informal power structure of the organization to achieve program success and overcome obstacles.
- Ability to develop programs and deliver them with financial and resource constraints.
- Experience with at least one project/program management methodology, such as Prince2, Agile or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP).
- Experience across a range of project types.
- Knowledge of project planning tools, such as Microsoft Project.
- Minimum of five years' experience within the areas of IT management and project delivery.
- Practical experience in developing and implementing a high-performing ITSM environment and knowledge of "what good looks like"
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to the technology workforce
As a Business Project Delivery Manager, the position involves;
- Coordinating projects and resource management within the project or activity. Working with business stakeholders and sponsors, ensuring communications remain timely and relevant.
- Reporting on progress made, risks or issues that are stopping the delivery from occurring and any activities that are planned in the future where support is required.
- The Business Project Delivery Manager will monitor and report on all financial management activities, from the cost to achieve the outcomes, through to the benefits realised. It is essential that standards are followed, and policy and processes observed to provide effective customer service and meet requirements through an ITIL framework.
- Ensuring delivery requests are recorded accurately and timely and progressed to the conclusion that meets the customer's expectations. Managing the delivery management pipeline and systems to ensure the business demands are managed and progressed and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed of their individual requests.
