Marcus Donald are now searching for an IT Security Analyst to join a global client based in Glasgow.

In this role you will be responsible for taking the business through the Security aspect of their large transformation project where all systems, controls, policies and processes are being standardised.

My client are looking for a driven individual with excellent stakeholder management skills who can help push their Security function further.

Key Skills as IT Security Analyst

• Office 365
• Working on different VMware estates
• Cisco storage servers
• Dealing with Security incidents
• Responding to alerts
• Server patching
• Mimecast
• Zscaler
• Liaising with 3rd parties and vendors

Desirable skills as IT Security Analyst

• Experience working on policies, procedures and standards
• Working on ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials and NIST

Key Responsibilities as IT Security Analyst

• Ensuring the delivery of the data security program
• Managing security tasks and deploying new security technologies and capabilities
• Monitoring and driving gap closing activities in relation to formal security compliance objectives
• Identifying and driving improvements to the security posture
• Coordinating Security related investigations and post incident reviews
• Setting expectations and developing communications around impactful changes with IT Business Partners
• Processing escalated security tickets
• Performing troubleshooting process to determine root cause of a security incident and remediation if not needing to escalate to expert providers
• Creating and maintaining knowledge base documents relating to security incidents
• Closing gaps between the current state of security and formal compliance objectives
• Being a level 3 escalation point for IT service desk colleagues in relation to security matters
• Deploying and updating security applications and tools via standard systems and processes
