Marcus Donald People are currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer to join an Insurance company based in Central London. As an Infrastructure Engineer you will take full responsibility for operating the clients Server, Network, and Cloud services across their group.

You will be working with the Head of Infrastructure and Services, ensuring the systems are scalable, secure, and fully supported ensuring that they have the necessary capacity to meet varying business demands. This role will also be responsible for the patching, backups, disaster recovery and researching future technologies.

 
Key Skills of the Infrastructure Engineer

• Excellent Windows Server Knowledge
• Understanding of virtualized infrastructures (VMWare, Hyper V)
• Enterprise SAN administration (NetApp, HP Synergy)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Services, e.g Exchange Online, Sharepoint Online, Teams, Azure AD, Intune
• Day to day experience with Windows Domain Controllers/Active Directory/DNS/DHCP Services
• Experience with Enterprise Backup Solutions
• Cisco Meraki Networking
• PowerShell Scripting
• Patching Processes
• Knowledge of working in a distributed global environment
• Proactive and service-oriented attitude, as well as advanced written and verbal communication skills
• ITIL Certification is a plus
• Windows Desktop knowledge to provide technical diagnosis
