A market-leading transport and logistics client is looking to further expand their development function by bringing onboard a Software Engineering Manager to take ownership within Engineering, innovating their current technical capacity. It is key that the Software Engineering Manager will have proven experience building highly scalable applications that are based on a Microservices Cloud-based architecture.

This is a great opportunity to build and lead a team of engineers and build on an application that is the first of its kind and will impact real-world problems with great significance.

Responsibilities of the Software Engineering Manager:

• Grow and lead a team of 20+ skilled Developers, Tech Leads, Architects and SDETs
• Take ownership of implementing best practices with the SDLC around Agile, TDD, and Automation
• Be an integral cog within defining the software architecture
• Code Reviews
• Drive the release process

Key Skills of the Software Engineering Manager:

• Leading software engineering teams
• Extensive experience working within a Cloud and Microservices environment
• Proven experience managing applications in production
• Extensive background in software development
• Good knowledge of project management tools
