Marcus Donald are now searching for a Cyber Security Lead to join a client based in Central London.

In this role you will act as the most senior technical person within the business and manage a small team which is scheduled to grow within the next 6-12 months.

Key Skills as Cyber Security Lead

• SIEM tools (Splunk and ArcSight preferable)
• Vulnerability scanning/management
• Knowledge of the McAfee Enterprise suite
• Azure
• Vendor management and speaking with MSPs
• Preventative security technology, (email phishing, spam filtering, malware detection, blocking)
• Setting up monitoring tools
• Previous experience leading teams
• Translating technical jargon to executives
• Excellent stakeholder management

Key Responsibilities as Cyber Security Lead

• Performing vulnerability scans, configuration reviews and network traffic analysis
• Liaising with their MSP for the Security Operations Centre
• Conversating with senior executives/stakeholders and translating technical terms in an understandable way
• Forensically investigating suspicious devices
• Researching security enhancements and making recommendations to management
• Performing risk assessments that support business requirements and recommending mitigations and countermeasures to address risks, vulnerabilities and threats
• Monitoring and developing threat intelligence feeds
• Acting as the SME during the design and implementation of new security products, policies and procedures
• Ensuring the effectiveness of network traffic monitoring and blocking of malicious traffic
• Analysing email and web-based threat defences
• Identity and access management and designing solutions to improve processes and privileged access
• Developing patch management processes across global infrastructure and services
• Helping with Disaster Recovery planning and framework implementation
