Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Marcus Donald are currently seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join an organisation based in Leeds. The candidate will work within the Technical Operations team to monitor, maintain and complete administration for the companies on premise and cloud Infrastructure.

The successful individual will have experience working on large scale on-premise/cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities for the Senior Infrastructure Engineer:

• Align current standards and tools across Azure cloud platform
• Act as escalation point for public cloud issues
• Mentor other Engineers on good working practises
• Drive techops team to maintain a stable platform for both internal & external users
• Work closely with projects teams
• Site visits to data centre and premises if necessary
• Ensure disaster recovery plans are planned and maintained

Key skills for the Senior Infrastructure Engineer:

• Windows/Linux Server and support
• Azure administration
• Azure virtual network/azure WebApps/ Azure SQL
• Active Directory
• Exchange/SharePoint
• VMware/Hyper-V
• Network principles
• Scripting – Bash, Python, Ruby or Powershell
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in IT – ideally working on large scale infrastructure environments.

• Azure containers
• Office 365 ProPlus
• Kubernetes
• Docker
• SharePoint
• Linux/UNIX
• Experience using development languages
