Marcus Donald are now searching for a Senior IT Operations Manager to join a client in Glasgow.

In this role you will take accountability for Server Infrastructure, Network Services, Communication Services, Database admin, Storage & Backup Services, File & Printer Services, Mobile Services and Authentication Services as well as leading a small team and shaping the Infrastructure strategy & technical delivery of the business.

Key Responsibilities as Senior IT Operations Manager

• Driving the delivery of an overarching Enterprise IT Infrastructure and service operation strategy and vision
• Provide architectural guidance, validation and implementation plans to ensure solutions implemented are enterprise grade
• Defining and agreeing operational level agreements covering key elements of the Infrastructure
• Manage the internal and 3rd party resources as required to design, deliver and run the Enterprise Infrastructure
• Ensure solutions implemented are enterprise grade and provide the highest levels of performance, availability and security
• Lead initiatives to ensure the business achieves goals for availability, security, performance and outcomes
• Improve the resilience and service health of IT systems
• Conduct formal operational reviews of proposed Infrastructure changes
• Proactively seek opportunities to agree and align Enterprise IT infrastructure standards to optimise for reliability, availability, security and cost
• Performing incident and root cause analysis for all events that degrade the Enterprise Infrastructure
• Ensure the Enterprise Infrastructure has enough capacity, resilience, security and performance
• Leading the delivery of Enterprise Infrastructure changes to support changes associated with location strategy
• Ensure that all Infrastructure components are managed to the appropriate level of risk
• Developing and maintaining improvement plans to ensure the Infrastructure fully enables the business needs going forward
