Marcus Donald are now searching for a Cyber Security Researcher to join a client based in Canary Wharf.

In this role you will be responsible for researching & delivering leading cutting-edge control technologies and architectural models to improve security of operational systems and networks in the electricity and downstream gas sectors in Great Britain and ensure they remain resilient against cyber and related security threats.

Key Skills as Cyber Security Researcher

• CISSP, CISM or ISO27001 Lead Auditor certified
• 5 years’ experience in the Cyber Security space
• Experience in technical research and cyber market analysis
• Experience deploying new and emerging digital, cloud services and technology solutions
• Stakeholder Management
• Ability to obtain SC Clearance
• Operating or architecting in Operational Technology (ADVANTAGEOUS)

Desirable Skills as a Cyber Security Researcher

• Engaging, advising and influencing at all levels of an organization
• Public facing experience with strong research and presentation skills
• Working knowledge of international security standards
• Risk Assessments

Key Responsibilities as a Cyber Security Researcher

• Research on new and emerging technology controls for OT and IoT that would benefit the business
• Provide advice to the Operators of Essential Service improvement planning and audit outcomes based on demonstrable R&D findings
• Communicate common or emerging vulnerabilities identified from research with potential resolution
• Research common and emerging vulnerabilities, providing valuable options to mitigate and withstand threat
• Maintain currency of intelligence relating to sector related cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, controls and incidents in a tactical and strategic manner
• Introduce working groups and forums with leading players in ICS/OT
• Publish security architectural design patterns and guidance for new and emerging technologies & products
• Measure the success of technologies introduced to support the defence and resilience against attacks to critical systems
