IT Governance & Compliance Lead

Marcus Donald are now searching for an IT Governance, Compliance Lead to join a client based in Canary Wharf.

In this role you will be responsible for the GRC environment across Digital, Data and Technology. The role will mitigate risk and help advance strategy, goals and priorities by providing a framework for decision rights, accountabilities and encourage positive behaviours within DDaT.  These will embed right sized and enduring controls that provide critical and regulatory levels of assurance.

Key Responsibilities as an IT Governance & Compliance Lead

• Influencing enterprise digital governance and work with business partners to establish the risk appetite
• Develop the DDaT ability to drive better decision making through integrated risk management and the development of a risk-aware culture
• Pull together management dashboards for various governance boards E.g. Digital Governance Board, PDB etc
• Establishing and administering the appropriate governance framework and process for DDat, both internally as a function, across DDaT areas and into the business
• Acting as the lead relationship holder and DDaT interface with external audit parties as well as internal auditors
• Proactively engage with compliance directors and wide risk and compliance initiatives to ensure the DDaT controls and assurance mechanisms are designed to align with the organisation’s frameworks, demands and strategic imperatives
• Deliver the optimum level of assurance against risk and compliance obligations for the lowest level of operational disruption and cost across all DDaT
• Build and maintain close and trusted relationships across the DDaT Leadership Team, to advise on an independent and objective basis on risk & compliance matters
• Ensure you have a comprehensive and rigorous compliance and assurance approach that anticipates, identifies, prioritises, manages and monitors the portfolio of compliance obligations that impact the entirety of the DDaT
