End User Technology Manager  

Marcus Donald are looking for an End User Technology Manager to join a prestigious law firm based in Manchester.

You will manage day to day activities of End User Technology Team based in the UK and US - delivering new End User solutions and improvements to existing services. This includes the virtual desktop PC environment, tablet and portable computers, thin clients and mobile smart phones.

Key responsibilities for End User Technology Manager: 

• Manage the team to maintain the day to day technology used to deliver the desktop experience including zero-clients, thin terminals, and VDI infrastructure.
• Day to day management and guidance of a team of technical analysts. Making decisions on how to tackle technical challenges and the approach required.
• Helping to define the strategies for the provision of a Global end user computing platform from the desktop to the mobile and ensuring that the deployment, management and security is in line with the expectations of the business and known best practice
• Foster an environment where the team deliver support documentation, training and informal knowledge sharing to other key dependent groups within the IT department.
• Develop, support and maintain our remote connectivity solutions, including laptops, tablets and mobile phones.

Upcoming Projects: 

• Build out of a Windows 10 and Office 2016 deployment on VDI as well as the move to a cloud base UEM and IDM solution. Also the integration of an Office 365 mobility solution to augment the on premise VDI platform.
