A market leading technology provider are looking for a Solution Architect to join the business to innovate their flagship product. It is a great opportunity to re-platform away from an enterprise C++ based system to a highly scalable web application utilising cloud services and opensource offerings as well as having input about what technology stack to pursue.

The right fit for the Solution Architect position will have led a technology transformation around the data storage and querying domain through to delivery. It is important for this individual to have used a range of database technologies to identify the best tools for the job.

Essential skills for the Solution Architect position:

• Extensive C++ experience
• Clear interest and knowledge around a range of database technologies
• Great understanding of the need for building a scalable, highly available cloud-based application
• Good software Architectural patterns

One of the following would be highly advantageous for the Solution Architect position:

• Extensive use of a cloud platform such as Azure or AWS
• Containerisation, Docker, Kubernetes
• PostgreSQL/PostGIS
• Spatial data representations
• QGIS
• GDAL
