Marcus Donald are now looking for a Security Operations Engineer to join a client in the City of London.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the continuous evolution of global capabilities that help the business predict, detect and respond to threats of interest.

Key Skills as a Security Operations Engineer

• Maintaining guidelines, processes and run books for centralised logging and threat hunting
• Regular security log analysis
• AV monitoring and responding to alerts 
• Analysing external threat intelligence and managing the threat intelligence services
• Supporting all departments with threat modelling for existing and newly planned systems.
• Performing security research and operate personal projects
• Support pen testers and carry out pen testing
• Support internal and external penetration testing service, schedule and processes
• Internal & external vulnerability management
• Managing internal vulnerability scanning tools and processes

Key Responsibilities as a Security Operations Engineer

• Maintain security incident response run books
• Keeping stakeholders in the loop with current events
• Support security crisis management simulation exercises
• Support red team, offensive cyber testing
• Support security assurance activities, external security audits and enquiries
• Review & confirm standards and privileged user reviews are being effectively performed on a regular basis
• Review and confirm technical Third-Party Service providers are operating with relevant security controls and compliance in place, security assurance checks
• Support external and internal audits 
• Support security enquiries from potential and existing clients
• Oversight and assurance reviews of key operational processes and services
