Description
Cyber Security Manager
Marcus Donald are now searching for a Cyber Security Manager to join a client in West London.
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the Cyber Security function in ensuring that existing and new systems introduced into the business adhere to the Security controls mandated by the business.
You will also support the IT and business teams in exploiting growth opportunities and managing threats in an assured and optimal way by creating and maintaining a positive security environment and culture.
As the Cyber Security Manager of this business, you will be managing the Cyber Security function, not leading a team for the time being.
Key Skills as a Cyber Security Manager
- Awareness of Security Polices as they relate to all aspects of a company's operations globally
- Firewalls, intrusion detection, assessment tools, encryption, certificate authority, etc.
- ISO27001, PCI, NIST & GDPR
- Identity and Access Management, security policies, processes, and procedures
- Understanding of emerging security technologies and their impact on networks and systems.
- Risk management & assessments
- CISSP Certified (Very advantageous)
Key Responsibilities as a Cyber Security Manager
- Educating the business on good practice and current threats
- Providing specialist security advice to management, project teams and internal stakeholders
- Continuous improvement of MI reporting up to and including board level audience
- Ensuring that security vulnerabilities are raised to internal teams & 3rd party suppliers and remediated according to agreed timescales
- Identifying gaps or areas for improvement
- Monitoring the vendor and product landscape to know what products are available
- Perform threat identification and vulnerability management duties
- Mitigate and controlling Cyber Security incidents with internal & external teams
- Identifying and managing operational Cyber Security risks within IT Operations and escalating as required.
- Liaising with stakeholders
- Monitoring vulnerability and intelligence feeds for the latest news and alerts in the Cyber Security space.
- Ensure the integrity of the company in terms of security operations and personnel, guaranteeing compliance with requirements of Corporate Security Policy, ISO27001, PCI DSS v3, ISMS Framework, etc.
