Enterprise Architect

Marcus Donald are now searching for an Enterprise Architect to join an Oil & Energy client based in Canary Wharf.

In this role, you will be responsible for helping drive out internal efficiencies in the businesses regulatory and operational areas by undertaking a comprehensive and ongoing assessment of the organisation’s current state architecture against the business outcome and simplification goals, whilst ensuring cost and legacy landscape are removed.

Key Skills as an Enterprise Architect

  • STEM related Bachelor's degree or a related study (or similar)
  • Customer/Consumer-focused
  • Applying TOGAF
  • Develop long term roadmaps
  • Governance processes
  • Understanding business models, ecosystems and business model innovation
  • Producing high-level business models
  • Hands-on experience of conceptual system or process modelling
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills

Key Responsibilities as an Enterprise Architect

  • Working closely with senior management to collaborate in the evolution and development of the business vision, goals and related activities
  • Define, validate and promote appropriate strategies and solutions, supporting business case development that delivers timely and fit for purpose strategic transformations in business capability
  • Initiate and manage investigation and development of innovative methods, practices and technology
  • Lead the definition of an agile Target Business Architecture including strategic architecture roadmaps for implementation of the application and infrastructure architecture
  • Define the architecture strategy and policies for acquiring or developing systems, network equipment, or software within the business
  • Ensure EA deliverables are fit for purpose and provide an effective and timely tool to guide downstream decisions
  • Work across the business and external partners to develop trusted relationships and an understanding of the potential and maturity of technology innovation for the business
  • Support the creation of a DDaT strategy
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and Technical specialists
  • Build an architecture community fully aware of the latest DDaT strategy and EA guidance
  • Support the review of budgets and project portfolio investment roadmap to ensure alignment of the Enterprise Architecture and the fitness for purpose of the DDaT strategy
  • Monitor, record and share identified issues and risks related to technology solutions across their lifecycle
  • Represent DDaT at governance and programme/project meetings providing EA input and engage directly with stakeholders and suppliers at workshops or meetings
