Description
Senior Desktop Support Analyst required for established financial institution. This award winning bank is known for its strong credit ratings and resilience during economic downturns. This is a hybrid role covering aspects of Service Delivery, Incident Management, Change Management and Vendor Management. You must commit to working in the London City office one day per week.
SKILLS REQUIRED: The successful candidate will have extensive commercial experience gained in a similar large scale environment. Preference will be given to candidates with a Banking background with experience of:
- Windows OS support (Windows 10/11, Windows Server)
- Active Directory (user management, group policies)
- Microsoft 365 & Office Suite
- Remote access technologies (VPN, Citrix, Remote Desktop)
- Endpoint management tools (SCCM, Intune, JAMF for Macs)
- Hardware troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, monitors, peripherals)
- Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Scripting (PowerShell, batch scripting for automation)
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience of working in an ITIL environment
ROLE: Joining a global team, you will be responsible for application packaging, deployment and automation. Other responsibilities include:
- Provide technical support to traders, analysts, and back-office staff, often in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.
- Support multi-monitor and low-latency setups on trading floors.
- Install, configure, and maintain trading applications (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Eikon, market data terminals).
- Troubleshoot Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, VPNs, and other standard enterprise tools.
- Manage user profiles, permissions, and group policies via Active Directory.
