Linux Engineer

Leading Financial Services organisation is seeking a Linux Engineer to help on the deployment and maintenance of their Linux infrastructure, which is heavily automated and uses Puppet for configuration management.

This is an inside IR35 role, hybrid role with occasional travel into London.

SKILLS:

• You must have a solid background managing Linux infrastructure
• Strong python knowledge and proficiency in Python Scripting
• Fluency on Puppet or Ansible
• Experience with AWS EC2/S3/ECS
• GIT
• Bare Metal Server Build/Deployment
• RHEL based Linux management
• Solid Understanding of IPV4, Routing and Multicast
• Linux monitoring tools

Desired Skills

1. Jenkins or other CI tool management experience
2. AWS CF/CT or OpenTofu/Terraform experience
3. IAM or Active Directory or LDAP management
4. Cybersecurity Principles and Best Practices

This firm are proud to focus on infrastructure as code and the position will require in depth knowledge of the Linux Kernel, Operating System tunning and scripting (python/bash/ruby).

INFORMATION

The successful individual will be responsible for:

Automating containers on their bare metal environment, setting up new servers and optimizing their current infrastructure.
Collaborating on managing their Linux infrastructure
Writing Scripts
Writing Puppet/Ansible and Python Code
