Description
ROLE: The Salesforce DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development cycle and collaborating with the developers and SMEs during design, development, data migration, Salesforce environment management, and deployments. You will use the Salesforce platform, Source control systems (e.g., GitHub), release branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines for release management and deployment across environments. With knowledge of agile methodologies, processes and frameworks, the DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in the execution of the release plan.
This role is hybrid and INSIDE IR35
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, including Salesforce objects, workflows, validation rules, and Apex code.
- Experience with Salesforce deployment tools Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Azure Repos, SonarQube, Azure Test Plans, Gearset, Salesforce DX, Change Sets, ANT Migration Tool.
- Experience setting up development orgs and data seeding (OwnBackup)
- Experience with Branching Strategy tools (Github, Bitbucket)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for Salesforce.
- Beneficial: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
INFO: The Salesforce DevOps Engineer will be responsible for:
- Development and deployment: Develop and deploy technical solutions on the Salesforce Service Cloud platform.
- Release management: Oversee the release process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating deployments.
- Continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD): Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Version control: Manage and maintain version control systems, ensuring proper branching, merging, and tagging strategies are followed.
- Collaboration: Integrate best practices from the Salesforce platform and DevOps methodologies to enhance collaboration between development and operations teams.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for all development work.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and rectify technical issues discovered during operations.
- Security: Maintain the security and integrity of the Salesforce Service Cloud platform.
