Description

Graduate Business Analyst required for leading City based Bank. This is a three-month contract role with the opportunity for extension. You must be within easy commute of London and have the right to work in the UK.
 
Role: You will join the Atlas IT Delivery team which is expanding the systems services to include MAR (Market Abuse Regulation – this allows the bank to monitor and ensure its traders are compliant with regulations). You will be joining the team to assist in understanding the second phase, speaking with users to understand requirements, documenting requirements, working with developers to design and build the solution along with testing.  As well as being involved in the primary project you will be expected to learn about the rest of ATLAS, be involved in the support and continual improvement of the service.
 
Skills & Qualifications:

  • You must have a bachelor’s degree 2:1 or above in Business, Finance or Economics, or a related field.
  • Some experience in internships or projects related to financial services, compliance, or market analysis is desirable.
  • A passion for financial markets and a keen interest in learning to deliver projects in an investment bank.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge Microsoft Excel, SQL, or other data analysis tools – desirable but not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with cross-functional departments.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 
Responsibilities:

  • Assist understanding the data and its relationships and behaviours.
  • Speaking with subject matter experts in compliance to understand requirements and challenges that the project needs to deliver.
  • Test your requirements and create supporting documentation.
  • Document using JIRA to create requirements that clearly articulate what is required and that can be used by the developers to build the solution.
  • Reporting on progress, highlighting issues and assisting with presentations when required
  • Work closely with teams across IT, compliance, legal, and operations to support the project delivery.
