Description
Innovative, independent government body with a culture of inclusion are seeking a Principal Network Architect to work as part of the architecture function and provide network architecture and influence as well as be alighted to their Business Continuity/DR project. This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to attend the London office one day per week. The contract is for three months and is INSIDE IR35.

SKILLS: You must have a proven background in network architecture and have solid understanding of all network technology including LAN (local area network), WAN (wide area network), wifi, data centre LAN, SD (software-defined) networks, telephony, mobile solutions infrastructure, unified comms, network management solutions, and network specific security and remote access technologies and approaches.

ROLE: Working closely with the infrastructure team, you will;
- Lead the technical design and documentation of their existing network from a connectivity, VPN and redundancy prospective.
- Provide an AS IS design of the network infrastructure.
- Provide expert advice on network architecture implications of technological trends when applied to existing systems how innovative technologies change the network approach required.
- Analysis of weak points and best practices for a design of a future state.
- Provide traffic flow documentation to support Business Continuity and DR planning.
- Document and highlight areas of risk and improvements against industry best practices.
- Effectively communicate difficult risk and network concepts in accessible ways that can be clearly understood by business leaders.
- SLA analysis of current network and VPN service providers to offer a clear understanding of these agreements.
