They are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and security of their on-premises and cloud-hosted environments across the EMEA region.
This role is hybrid but offers the flexibility of working from home with visits to the London office as required. The client will also consider applicants based in Germany and commutable to Frankfurt or Munich.
SKILLS: To be considered for this role, you must have a solid background as an IT Engineer with relevant experience supporting large-scale IT environments. You must possess:
- A proven track record of progressive IT administration and support experience.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory (on-prem and Azure), Windows Server and Desktop OS, Microsoft SQL Server, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, and related technologies.
- Working experience in Microsoft Azure Infrastructure, including Identity, Storage, Networks, Security, Compute, and Scalability.
- Expert in virtualisation technologies eg. VMWare vSphere/vCenter & Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Experience supporting Citrix Workspace, including published apps and VDIs.
- Proficiency in enterprise monitoring tools such as Azure Arc, Azure Monitor, PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk, and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Strong network administration skills, including setting up physical and virtual networks and configuring switches
- Experience working in enterprise data centre operations.
Good to have:
- CCNA or JNCP certification
- German language skills
- Experience of eDiscovery and digital forensics.
ROLE: Working within a global team environment, your role will include
- Deploy, administer, and support Infrastructure within our forensic hosting environments.
- Solve technical challenges and streamline tasks through automation, leveraging tools like Terraform, PowerShell, and scripting.
- Draft comprehensive documentation covering rack elevation diagrams, network, systems, and disaster recovery procedures for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide escalated technical support to advanced technical end-users, ensuring prompt resolution of complex issues and effective communication.
- Coordinate and collaborate with third-party IT service providers to optimise system performance and resolve service-related issues.
- Adhere to established change control, ticket handling, and incident management protocols to maintain operational stability and security.
