Marcus Donald People is recruiting for an NOC engineer for an ISP company based in Newark, NJ
Would you like to be a focal part of the Operation Engineering team?
If you answered yes then please read on as we are currently working with an ISP as they look to expand their FTTH footprint and rapidly grow as a company, With 350 employees currently they’re looking to be at 600 by the end of 2024!
You’ll be joining the Network Operations Engineering group playing an integral role, We’re looking for someone willing to be a leader in the group.
They would like someone to either have a CCNP (or other vendor equivalent) or, if you don’t have the certification, be operating at a CCNP level.
Within this role you’ll be doing:
• BGP Peering
• Extensive work across Layer 2 & 3
• Negotiation and working with upstream providers for augmentation & adding capacity
• Operations on a Cisco Core Network – Troubleshooting & Monitoring
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshooting
• Monitoring
• VLAN Tagging & Encapsulation Working on Layers 2 & 3
Required Skills & Experience:
• ISP Experience
• Troubleshooting Monitoring experience
This role will be fully remote and a standard 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, shift.
There will not be an on-call rota, however, you will have to occasionally join a maintenance window.
You’ll be paid between $110 to $130K, depending on your skillset.
