Description

Marcus Donald are currently looking for a Senior Data Protection Officer for a leading Professional Services/Consulting firm that operate in many different sectors such as, Cyber & Digital, Energy, Health and Low Carbon/Clean Energy. * London office – close to Fenchurch Street however, flexible working is possible *
** £45,000 - £55,000 per annum + % bonus and great benefits (mentioned below) **

You will be a real leader within the Data Privacy team with a clear career structure in place, both within the Data Privacy team and in the wider business.

Senior Data Protection Officer – Responsibilities:

  • Own the development and delivery of the outsourced Data Protection Officer and training services, including working with business development and marketing to find new clients
  • Support other Lead Consultants to deliver for their clients as required
  • Support the business itself to manage its own data protection risks, assisting the DPO as required
  • Support clients to understand their responsibilities and comply with their obligations in respect of data protection and privacy
  • Research the impact of new global legislation and produce specific, actionable reports for clients
  • Work with clients to create and deliver a remediation plan for data protection risks, following the businesses approach

Senior Data Protection Officer – Requirements:

  • Proven working experience (minimum 3 years) within data protection
  • CIPP/E and CIPM or similar qualifications
  • Experience of using privacy tools such as OneTrust an advantage
  • Aware of key data protection legislation, particularly GDPR, PECR, DPDI and ePrivacy
