Description
Marcus Donald are currently looking for an experienced Capital Markets Project Manager to join a Global Investment Banking organisation with big current and future plans. You will be working with multiple Capital Markets, Operations and Technology business partner stakeholder groups from across the bank to support the European Capital Markets (CM) and related Operations support groups.

* £550 - £600 per day / initial 6-month contract / Inside IR35 *
* Hybrid / 1-2 days in a London office *

An overall coverage that will be expected is for you to support the development and implementation of strategic directives, new business opportunities, service developments and regulatory initiatives. With this being said, we required previous knowledge and experience working in capital markets on Operations processes and settlement systems and regulatory projects (e.g., Dodd Frank, EMIR, MiFID2, CSDR, PSD2, GDPR, Brexit, etc).
Capital Markets Project Manager – Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Capital Markets products from several areas (e.g., Fixed Income, Equity, Derivatives, Foreign Exchange)
- Knowledge and experience working in capital markets on Operations processes and settlement systems such as Impact or GLOSS
- Advanced knowledge of project management and system development life cycle
- Is familiar with business assessment tools (e.g., requirements documentation, workflow diagrams, vendor scoring, test plan documentation and current state analysis/needs assessments)
- Understands and is familiar with the application of techniques associated with process modeling and data modeling
- Solid experience with MS Excel, Visio, Access, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
- Data knowledge/working experience is important within this position, such as working experience with SQL and other data languages
- The ability to understand what will be required of you from the different teams you will be working with
Capital Markets Project Manager – Responsibilities:
- Manage the implementation of GLOSS (Broadbridge) on the Fixed Income side
- Identifies the business needs for changes to products, services, technology, and business process requirements to identify gaps, especially around recently enacted regulatory reforms.
- Act as Project Delivery’s lead representative in capturing, analyzing, and documenting requirements to ensure the quality of the output, as well as provide direction for business stakeholders.
- Establishes project governance, writes requirement documents and obtains business unit approvals for new projects and initiatives.
- Liaise with both the business and the Vendor to ensure the implementation of the new project goes smoothly, applying your expertise to the rest of the team
Capital Markets Project Manager – Desirable:
- Designations such as MBA/CFA/PMP/FRM are a strong positive
- Knowledge of testing would be a bonus, or previous experience working closely with testing teams
To successfully perform within this position, you will have to be someone who really appreciates the positive impact from ensuring there is strong collaboration with colleagues in London, Dublin, Paris, and North America. Your most frequent contact will be with Operations, Capital Markets business leads, Regulatory and Compliance specialists, Tax experts, Vendors, Senior Management, Finance so experience within the banking world is a pre requisite.
