BizTalk Developer

Marcus Donald have a new & exciting position available again, this time it’s for you BizTalk professionals. We’re looking for a BizTalk Developer to develop and support technology products and digital services within an exciting educational organisation. Fully Remote Opportunity!

You will be responsible for end-to-end software development life cycle of products and services from initial scoping, through an Agile DevOps lifecycle (within the Integration team). The Integration team consists of DevOps, Software Developers, SAP, SharePoint & of course BizTalk specialists.

The Lead BizTalk Developer has recently been made Team Lead of the Integration team, due to a recent promotion. Therefore, you will be directly reporting into a very knowledgeable BizTalk developer, who has previously upskilled many and will be a great role model for all you Software Engineers looking for your next step. BizTalk Developer – Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist support and guidance on middleware applications
• Create and configure BizTalk Schemas (XSD), Maps, Pipelines, Ports, Orchestrations and Custom BizTalk components
• Create BizTalk maps for EDI / XML / Flat File transformations using advanced functions
• Deploy BizTalk applications to respective development/testing environments by exporting and importing .msi files and bindings using the BTDF framework
• Process XML Messages Using XPath and XSLT for Data Transformations, Translations, and Aggregations
• Consume and deploy WCF and Web services in BizTalk Orchestration
• Deploying, Configuring, and Clustering BizTalk Implementations
• Involvement in the test case/script writing and regression/UAT execution process with stakeholders

BizTalk Developer – Requirements:

• Minimal 2+ years of relevant experience in BizTalk 2016
• .NET C# development experience with ASP.NET MVC, WPF, WCF etc
• Must be a hands-on developer in their current job
• Must have Web Service and Web API knowledge or experience
• Familiar with BizTalk Database Backup and Recovery procedures
• Familiar with BizTalk Installation, Setup, Configuration Management and Test Planning of BizTalk server and BizTalk solutions

BizTalk Developer – Desired:

• In-depth knowledge of Azure Biztalk services, Biztalk Database Servers, and different scale out options using on-premises and cloud
• Deploy BizTalk Applications using Azure DevOps CI/CD Build and Release pipelines
