Description

A Global Banking Giant is looking for a Java Developer to join their growing team in Dublin, Ireland. You will be part of the Fixed Income Technology team, directly supporting the Front Office taking part in the hands-on development and design of their trading application.

Java Developer:- Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for story-based development & unit test and adherence to all coding standards
  • You will be responsible for high quality code that achieves consistent SQALE A rating with no technical debt within SonarQube
  • Ensuring DevOps principles are adopted in applications
  • Working as part of scrum teams, deliver technical stories within sprint cycles
  • Working on complex frameworks and their messages to support it
  • Understanding high-level business requirements and collaborating with colleagues to craft solutions to meet those business needs
  • Contributing to all agile ceremonies (planning / stand-ups / retro etc.) to ensure high velocity is maintained

Java Developer:- Technical Skills

  • 5+ years experience in delivering services and applications in Java. Experience in building Java microservices with knowledge in real-time and batch processing, messaging & API calls, databases, and networks.
  • 3+ years’ experience in messaging technologies like MQ and Kafka
  • Experience in working on integrations with various vendor solutions to ingest/extract data via files or API calls
  • Hands-on with cloud technologies – ideally AWS
  • Hands-on experience with Databases, schemas, indexes
  • Experience with source code management tools like GIT, CI/CD, DevOps tools, JIRA, Confluence
  • Any experience within Capital Markets technologies is a plus
  • Evaluates new technologies for fit with the program/system/eco-system and the associated upstream and downstream impacts on the process, data, and risk (e.g., security).
  • Ability to work in a structured environment, practising Agile development model
  • Ability to work with distributed onshore and offshore teams
